Certified Scrub Technician-Surgery Department-New Hampton- As Needed

PAY RANGE: $15.77 - 22.54
HOURS: As Needed -
JOB SUMMARY
Assists the surgical team in the care of the patient in the operating room and/or endocopy suite. Assists in preparing the room, surgical packs and the patient for surgery. Functions as a scrub tech during surgical procedures. Cleans and sterilizes instruments, supplies and equipment according to prescribed procedures and techniques. Restocks supplies and helps clean the surgical department as needed. Assists in Specialty Clinic upon request, if available.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Graduate of a surgical technologist program is required or
Graduate of an LPN program with Surgical experience.
Certification as a surgical technologist preferred.
LPN license required if applicable.
Experience
Previous experience in a surgical department and endoscopy suite in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting. Minimum of 2 years.
Special Skills and Competencies:
Experience with computer software and willingness to learn new software (Excel, Microsoft, Cerner Surgi-Net, WorkDay, etc.)
Ability to work flexible hours and participate in surgical call rotation (must be within 30 minutes of the hospital)
Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
